Frequently Asked Questions:
1. How do I download the patterns?
Payments are made securely through PayPal. Once you have checked out through PayPal, you will be sent an email confirming your purchase and including a randomly generated 17 digit password. Log into the client download area with your PayPal email address and the password that was sent to you (NOT your PayPal password). You will then be able to access the pattern files from there.
2. What is the difficulty level of your patterns?
I write my patterns with beginners in mind. I completely write out each row so that they are easy to read, abbreviating only K for knit and P for purl. If you can cast on, bind off, knit and purl, then you should have no problems.
3. What is your gauge?
I am a very loose knitter. So I keep that in mind when I knit my patterns. I use size 6 needles when I test my patterns and they still come out pretty large (close to 9 inches square). That is why I say to use size 7 in the pattern -- to better accomodate a more normal tension. As far as gauge, I get about 17.5 stitches and 26 rows in 4 inches.
4. Can I sew your cloths together to make a blanket/afghan?
Yes! I design the majority of my cloths to be 37 stitches wide. Sometimes to fit the pattern better, I need to use 38 stitches. They are close enough in size that you can sew them together.
5. How many dishcloths can you knit from one regular ball of Sugar 'n Cream?
Using a 2.5 oz ball of solid yarn, I can make two dishcloths, sometimes with only inches leftover. Sometimes I have 5-10 yards leftover. It depends if I've knitted two cloths that cast on 38 stitches, two cloths that cast on 37, or one of each.
